Surgical Treatment

• Aparoscopic surgery:  laparoscopic surgery is effective in benign and malignant tumor resection
• Enucleation: Insulinomas may be removed by enucleation
• Pancreaticoduodenectomy: If enucleation is not possible, a larger pancreatic resection would be necessary to remove the insulinoma
• Whipple procedure: Is a Major resection that is necessary when the tumor is found in the pancreatic head
