Pharmacologic treatment is designed to prevent hypoglycemia and to reduce the tumor burden.
- Diazoxide: Reduces insulin secretion
- Hydrochlorothiazide: Counteracts edema and hyperkalemia and is secondary to diazoxide and increases its hyperglycemic effect
- Octreotide: Prevents hypoglycemia
